Some services require authenticated submission of emails originating from our users through these servers. Features: protected and authenticated SMTP connections  (optional, prerequisite for relaying / use of our Email-addresses (...@institutes-domain) as sender) Assigned email-addresses that can be used  Email-Forwarding for Alumni (optional, limited time window in which you have to act personally: Uni Bonn/Uni-ID Alumni-Status) If too many errors, connections or messages are established from one IP-address within a time window no new connections / messages can be transmitted for a short period thenceforth.
